Singapore American School has served the needs of diverse learners since 1956. Originally located downtown, the school moved into its current 36-acre Woodlands campus in 1996. The current campus upgrade project will have an impact on our local communities in multiple ways. SAS is grateful for their support and cooperation.
The construction of our temporary athletic facility, the West Fields, began in September 2020. This facility will include one baseball field, one soccer/football field, and four multi-purpose courts. More details and photos can be found here.
The West Fields will be used by members of the SAS community but will also be opened up to local residents’ use during non-peak school times. This is an exciting addition to the community and may become a place for Woodlands residents to come together and enjoy athletic and exercise opportunities.
We are also exploring the possibility of creating a community garden that will encourage community connections.
Please continue to monitor this page for more information on the project and how it may impact residents in the local Woodlands neighborhood. If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please don’t hesitate to contact our team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The new campus will bring to our students, faculty, and community members a variety of benefits across divisions.
In phase one, our elementary school will create spaces that will be flexible, responsive to student needs, and adaptable to innovations in education for decades to come.
With more learning space and stronger links to nature, the middle school will offer students more opportunities to create, connect, and explore.
With a forward-looking vision for our high school, the renovated spaces will enhance the student experience in a variety of ways.
