sAS news & Stories
Over the past four years Singapore American School has been on a journey of change to ensure that students are fully prepared for their future. As we have looked deeply inside of our own school, looked broadly at other schools, and asked education experts around the world for help, we have been asked about what we've learned, and how it is impacting what we are doing at SAS.
Along the way, SAS Alumni filmmaker Mike Rogers followed the process and recently completed a documentary called Changing Education From the Inside Out. We held a standing room only community screening in December, and have scheduled two additional community screenings:
Notice: The afternoon (3:30 p.m.) April 18 campus screening had to be rescheduled to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 4
The evening screening for Tuesday, April 18, 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Pan Pacific Orchard Hotel, Picasso Room, remains unchanged.
If you wish to attend the screening at Pan Pacific Orchard Hotel, kindly RSVP here.
The film follows SAS faculty and global education thought leaders as they share the critical importance of changing education for the current generation of learners, and highlights the challenges of taking an already successful school through the change process.
Schools around the world served as models as we researched how best to continue to improve the educational experience for our students at SAS. We hope this film will serve as a catalyst and conversation starter for other schools that haven't yet embarked on this change process. It will give us the opportunity to serve other educators while simultaneously building the SAS brand around the world.
We hope you can join us!
