Labour Day

Labour Day
Labour Day

Labour Day, also called International Workers Day, is observed by countries around the world and is a national holiday in Singapore. It was established to honor the contributions and achievements of workers. It also reminds us that important worker protections, like the eight-hour workday and workplace safety rules, were achieved through organization and sacrifice. Most countries celebrate Labour Day on May 1, which has long been associated with spring festivals; others, like the United States, Canada, and Australia, observe it on different dates. In Singapore this year, Labour Day falls on a Sunday, so Monday will be a public holiday. We wish everyone a very happy Labour Day, and we thank all our employees for their continued contributions to SAS!
