What is an actuary? What is a content strategist? What do they do? Most high school students are not familiar with some of the jobs you do! It is easy to picture what a doctor, a teacher, an engineer, or what a lawyer looks like, but what do they actually do in their day-to-day job? We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to speak to our high school students about various types of jobs and careers. What do you like about your job? What are some challenges? What are some necessary skills needed to prepare students for a career in your line of work?
If you are not keen in talking to a room full of students, we invite you to be a one-on-one mentor for our programs. Mentors are volunteers from the industry or the SAS community who are willing to work with our students for the whole year to strengthen and refine students' skills, strategies, and capability in developing their portfolio and project. A mentor should be an expert in the field of a particular student's interests.
If you are interested in becoming a guest speaker or a mentor, please fill out this Google form and we will contact you as soon as possible.
