Toddle Guide

Toddle is SAS’s new whole-school learning management system for elementary, middle, and high school. It brings curriculum, learning experiences, assignments, assessment, feedback, student evidence, grades, reports, and communication together in one shared platform.

We have heard from students, parents, and educators that navigating multiple platforms can make it difficult to find learning tasks, resources, feedback, progress information, and communication.

Toddle will help simplify the digital experience for our community by creating greater consistency across the school and reducing the number of systems families and students need to access.

Toddle will gradually replace several platforms currently used across SAS, including:

• Seesaw and Storypark in elementary school
• Google Classroom in middle school
• Schoology in high school
• Some gradebook and reporting functions currently managed through PowerSchool and Veracross

This transition will be staggered, so some existing systems may continue to be used temporarily while different features are introduced.

Parents should download the Toddle Family app. Students and educators may use different versions of the Toddle app, so please ensure you select the correct one.

The app is available through:

The information available may vary by division and will expand during the rollout. Over time, parents will be able to access information such as:

• Learning experiences and class information
• Assignments and upcoming deadlines
• Student progress, grades, and reports
• Portfolios and examples of student work
• School and class communication

Teachers will continue to determine what information is appropriate to share based on the student’s age, learning context, and divisional practices.
 

Toddle provides language and translation options for some content and communications. The availability of these features may depend on the device, browser, and type of information being viewed.

You can change the language in the profile settings. This can be found by clicking the profile icon > change language.

Please try the following:

1. Confirm that you are using the email address registered with SAS.
2. You enter your email address and you will receive an email code to login. 
3. Ensure that you are using the Toddle Family app rather than another Toddle app on mobile. The desktop URL is https://web.toddleapp.com.
4. Check that your app or browser is up to date.
5. Send an email to ithelp@sas.edu.sg for further support. 

Toddle uses parent information already held by SAS. Changes to your email address or other personal information should therefore be submitted via Veracross here.

Not immediately. During this transition phase, SAS will continue to use established communication channels where appropriate.

Toddle will increasingly become a central location for learning-related information and communication, but eNews, specific SAS event emails and announcements, emergency communication systems, and other school channels will continue to serve specific purposes.

Parents should report student absences and submit excusals directly through Toddle.

Excusals in Toddle include:

• planned absences
• illness
• late arrivals,
• early departures
• other attendance-related notifications

If you have more than one child at SAS, please ensure you select the relevant child when submitting your absence or excusal.

Excusals can be submitted for the the following options

• By whole day excusal
• By partial day excusal 
• By period excusal

The timing and location of grades and report cards may vary by division and reporting period as Toddle is introduced across the school.

Please follow divisional guidance and communication for details about when grades and report cards will be released and where they can be accessed in Toddle.

SAS carefully reviews the privacy, security, and data-protection arrangements of the platforms it adopts. Access to Toddle is managed through individual accounts, and users should not share their login information with others.

Toddle’s use at SAS is governed by the school’s technology, privacy, safeguarding, and responsible-use expectations.
