How do Our Donors support Excellence at SAS?
For students, excellence means that every student is learning at high levels and fully realizing their potential. For educators, excellence means continuing to refine and grow in their professional craft individually and collectively on teams. As a school, we create systems to support these goals.
The Author/Artist-in-Residence Program at SAS is unlike any other I’ve experienced.

19 local and internationally recognized authors, illustrators, musicians, playwrights, visual artists, and other professionals visited campus, creating 9,000+ student experiences.

135 middle school and 332 elementary school Chinese Language Arts can access texts closely tied with the curriculum, their reading level, and their interest.
2 teachers went to training in Chinese literacy in Nanjing, and 6 teachers participated in online literacy workshop training.

In our 2024-25 school year, our college counselors could travel to 4 countries and visit 62 different schools as well as learn about a wide variety of topics that are crucial to today’s college admissions process.

Growing from 60 to 170 students since 2018, our dancers across all divisions can access quality instruction in a variety of genres through our Eagle Dance program.

20 middle school math and learning support teachers and 17 elementary math teachers worked alongside international math experts as part of our math curriculum review.

70 eighth graders participated in National History Day at the SAS level, 35 at the international level, and 23 at the Finals level in Washington, DC. Funds supported the creation of 16 projects (4 exhibits, 3 performances, 2 papers, 3 websites, and 4 documentaries).
Tuition maintains excellence; philanthropy secures transformation.
