Donor support has propelled the SAS swim program and aquatics center to new heights through facility upgrades including a new scoreboard, timing system, and touch pads.

19 local and internationally recognized authors, illustrators, musicians, playwrights, visual artists, and other professionals visited campus, creating 9,000+ student experiences.

6 students competed at international robotics and sports competitions with anywhere from 25% to 75% of their travel funded.

500+ high school athletes trained and competed with high-quality equipment. Coaching clinics helped our coaches grow, too.

135 middle school and 332 elementary school Chinese Language Arts can access texts closely tied with the curriculum, their reading level, and their interest.

2 teachers went to training in Chinese literacy in Nanjing, and 6 teachers participated in online literacy workshop training.

960+ middle school students participated in Classroom Without Walls.

In our 2024-25 school year, our college counselors could travel to 4 countries and visit 62 different schools as well as learn about a wide variety of topics that are crucial to today’s college admissions process. 

299 graduates had the largest community attendance at their Class of 2025 commencement.

780 educators participated in the annual DEI Exchange, attending workshops on culturally responsive practices and other relevant topics.    

100% of middle school REP athletes earned a red Eagle Athletics t-shirt.

Growing from 60 to 170 students since 2018, our dancers across all divisions can access quality instruction in a variety of genres through our Eagle Dance program.

290 students attended storytelling workshops led by Victor Lu and Dai Yun, with 75+ parents participating in his after-school workshops.

123 students and 12 Chinese immersion educators attended Chinese calligraphy workshops led by Corinna Tai.    

167 students  and 14 Chinese immersion educators attended Chinese traditional dance workshops with Xiao Jing.        

Our elementary building was purpose-built to include 4 dedicated spaces for robotics and innovation; future plans include the purchase of robotic arm sets, digital microscopes, and virtual reality headsets.

116 high school advisory groups could connect on and off campus, building bonds together on Eagle Day.
 

In our high school, we were able to complete careful design of several spaces during the 2024-25 school year and complete construction over the summer.

6 guest choreographers worked alongside our high school dancers.

The 2024-25 end-of-year stats are in! The High School Math Help Center held 2,500 tutoring sessions, helping 343 individual students across 14 different math classes.

317 new ninth grade students more effectively transitioned to high school with our “First 30” program, and 8 faculty members engaged in professional development to support it.

134 students and 30 visiting directors and administrators-in-charge learned from 2 international artists and 10 local artists at IASAS (Interscholastic Association of Southeast Asia Schools) Dance Drama Tech, hosted by SAS for the first time since 2015.

Over 160 instructional assistants participated in powerful professional learning in our elementary and middle schools.

60+ high school students were able to travel around the world thanks to Interim Semester scholarships.

Close to 150 middle school students shaped our middle school through our Lunch with the Dean sessions.
 

20 middle school math and learning support teachers and 17 elementary math teachers worked alongside international math experts as part of our math curriculum review.

95% of middle school students participated in after-school activities and athletics.

400 middle school and 80 high school dancers in addition to 11 middle school and 30 high school leaders soared in our Middle School Dance Education Program.

70 eighth graders participated in National History Day at the SAS level, 35 at the international level, and 23 at the Finals level in Washington, DC.  Funds supported the creation of 16 projects (4 exhibits, 3 performances, 2 papers, 3 websites, and 4 documentaries).

Our new elementary school building opened in the spring of 2025. Because of donor support, we were able to dream big when it came to technology, thoughtful play space design, and sustainability.

4 students and 2 educators attended the Peace & Justice Conference in Hanoi.

When the cast of 75 students in our Frozen, Jr. musical headed out to warm up before performing for an audience of 800+ friends and family members, it was a well-tuned Steinway that helped them get ready.

Funding made it possible for 29 Quest students and 3 Quest advisors to embark on a memorable 3-day, 2-night end-of-year retreat to Desaru, Malaysia.

400+ contracted staff gained vital skills through professional development.

600+ middle school students have access to peaceful and thoughtfully designed sensory spaces in their learning communities.

With 100+ students participating in SpaceLab since its start, we have now launched 9 student-designed experiments to space since 2017.

We hired 2 external coaches for our junior varsity and varsity debate teams and could send, for the first time, 3 teams to the Singapore International School Debate Championships, the largest World Schools Debate tournament in Asia.

2 teachers were fully trained in an established literacy intervention program, and all faculty participated in professional development on student profiles and interventions.

12+ SAS support staff advanced their careers and skills, with 3 pursuing master’s degrees and 2 undertaking bachelor’s degrees.

Tech expert Patrick Green led 10+ parent and student sessions on technology use.

Educators facing serious illness, terminal diagnoses, or unexpected loss received the critical support they needed. 4 families facing difficult financial hardship received partial tuition relief through the SAS Compassion Fund.
