SAS is receiving a significantly increased volume of requests for tuition assistance this year. The compassion fund will primarily co-pay tuition with families affected by the loss of employment or other acute changes in their financial circumstances. If you would like to apply for tuition assistance, please email Rebecca Lee, outlining the reasons for your application.
We ask that you help us support our affected families through the end of this school year by making a donation to this fund. Funds will also be made available to provide assistance to SAS faculty and staff members who need support. And, to the extent we can, we will also use the Compassion Fund to respond to pressing needs within our immediate Woodlands community.
While the school buildings are closed, our educators are fully engaged in distance learning: keeping our students actively engaged and sustaining the extraordinary education Singapore American School provides.
Through this challenging time, we must continue to support our teachers and help them to innovate and adapt as they continue to deliver our curriculum to our students. SAS will invest in additional professional development expenses for our teachers, associated with adopting and implementing best practice for digital learning and supporting online learning tools.
