Baseball Overview
TEAM PROGRAM
The Eagle Club baseball Team offering is our competitive baseball program that is open to all. There are 2-3 contacts per week based on your child's age group. Age groups are determined by grade level. Contacts include weekend practices and/or games against other local teams, intrasquad scrimmages and tournaments. The curriculum will focus on batting, pitching, catching, fielding, and team development. Participants are coached by our professional Eagle Club baseball staff. Team uniform requirements: one red and one blue practice shirt, one home and one away game jersey, Club hat, grey pants, red belt and red socks.
SKILLS PROGRAM
The Eagle Club baseball Skills offering is our training program for new and developing baseball players to prepare them for the next level of baseball and our competitive program. The Skills program is available during Seasons 1 and 2. The program consists of Saturday practices that incorporate a lesson-based curriculum, regular training in all aspects of the game, and regular intrasquad scrimmages that focus on implementing developed skills into a game setting.

LITTLE LEAGUE PROGRAM
Singapore American School is proud to host Little League recreational baseball for season three. T-ball (ages 4-6), 8U (coach pitch), 10U & 12U programs are open to all children from beginners to advanced. The program starts in Season 3 and concludes mid-to-late May depending upon age group. Teams will be coached by parent volunteers under the guidance of our Eagle Club Baseball professional coaches. Little League rules and age cut-off will apply.
During the start of the program, all contacts are training sessions. This will allow players the opportunity to develop their skills, better understand the game and be evaluated. Each player will then be assigned to a team. This is not a tryout process. The goal is to create teams that are equally balanced in each age group to keep games competitive. Players will be notified of team placement via email and how to access the game schedule prior to games starting.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
For Skill and Team, each participant is required to have their own glove, bat and batting helmet.

- About T-ball Skills program
- The T-ball Skills program is available to all pre-kindergarteners. Each practice, Eagle coaches will implement FUNdamentals-based sessions that incorporates fun whilst developing the four main fundamentals of baseball and softball. Combining skill development with fun ensures children develop a love of sport. Parent involvement is key as this is the perfect platform to spend time together engaged in an activity.

Bat Specifications
Baseball
- 8U, 10U and 12U: The bat must meet the USA Baseball bat (USABat) standard as adopted by Little League. It shall be a smooth, rounded stick that is made of wood or of material and color tested and acceptable to USABat. It shall not be more than 33 inches in length; nor more than 25⁄8 inches in diameter, and if wood, not less than 15/16 inch in diameter (7/8 inch for bats less than 30 inches) at its smallest part.
- 14U: The bat must meet the USABat standard as adopted by Little League, OR the BBCOR standard. ABOUT SUNDAY BASEBALL LEAGUE
The high school Eagle Club baseball team will participate in the men's league. Season one for men's league takes place during the first semester, while season two takes place during the second semester. For more information, please contact the EAA office at 6360 6795 or email Coach Clarence Brown.
