All pre-kindergarten children registered for after-school activities will be escorted by their teachers to the designated pick-up area in the ELC piazza to meet their after-school teacher/coach or after-school instructional assistant at 1:30 p.m.
Supervision is provided from the moment your child leaves the classroom until after-school dismissal.
After-school assistants and instructors can help your child get ready for his/her after-school activity (e.g. help with ballet shoes, leotards, karate uniform, etc.).
At 2:30 p.m.
Pre-kindergarten participants in all EAA ELC activities should be picked up at the external gate outside the ELC lift lobby on the ground floor. All participants will be brought to this pickup point after their activities conclude. Parents/helpers/guardians should wait there.
Parents and guardians must leave the campus with participants after pickup. Students are not permitted to play on the track, outdoor basketball courts, or the stadium pitch.
An after-school activity bus service for pre-kindergarten students is not available.
Parents are required to notify the EAA office via eaainfo@sas.edu.sg, authorizing another adult to pick up their pre-kindergartener.
Children will be dismissed from their classrooms to check in for their EAA activities.
All children will be checked in at the designated cafeteria for their activity.
Kindergarten to second grade students will be escorted to their check in point by their classroom teacher or classroom instructional assistant.
Third to fifth grade students will be escorted to their check in point for the first few weeks until they can make their own way there.
Parents should pack a snack for their children to consume prior to the EAA activity. There are no snack sales in the cafeterias at 3:00 pm.
Cafeteria supervision before activities start is provided until activity leaders or coaches pick up their students. This includes students in the 4:30 p.m. Eagle Club programs. These students should also check in at the south cafeteria at 3:00 p.m. and will be supervised until their activity start time.
At 4:15 p.m.
Bus riders
Kindergarten through second grade students who is registered to ride the activity bus will be escorted by an activity leader or instructional assistant from the EAA activity to the staging area in the Multi Purpose Hall (MPH). The child will be checked on the bus by an elementary school instructional assistant. This instructional assistant will ride the bus with the children to each of the designated stops and help them alight at the correct stop.
Siblings or undesignated adults should not meet bus riders.
Parents are expected to email at eaainfo@sas.edu.sg or call the EAA office at 6360 6795 before 2:00 p.m. to report their child’s absence.
Parents who wish to pick up their kindergarten to second-grade child instead of the child riding the activity bus on any day should email the EAA office at eaainfo@sas.edu.sg or call 6360 6795 before 2:00 p.m. to notify the office of this arrangement.
Parents who are picking up their kindergarten to second-grade child before boarding the activity bus at school should wait for the child in front of the Multi Purpose Hall (MPH) and inform the instructional assistant that the child will not be riding the bus on that particular day.
Grade three through five students who are registered for the bus will be escorted by an activity leader or instructional assistant from the EAA class to the loading zone along the bus bay outside the elementary school office for the first few weeks. Students are expected to know their bus route so that they can board the correct bus themselves.
Walkers
Kindergarten through grade two students who walk home need to be picked up from the zoned area located behind the grand staircase by the track.
Students will wait for their parents with adult supervision provided until a parent arrives.
For activities that start at 3:15 p.m., parents are expected to pick up their children no later than 4:25 p.m.
Parents should wait outside the gates behind the grand staircase so the children have room to gather inside the gates and then exit the area.
Younger siblings or undesignated adults (e.g., taxi drivers) will not be allowed to pick up kindergarten through grade two students.
Grade three through grade five students will be dismissed from the zoned area by the track (behind the grand staircase) and may walk home once their activity has finished.
Car pickup
To ensure student safety at departure time, no parking or drive-through pick-up will be available on campus for the 4:15 p.m. after school activities pick-up.
Parents of kindergarten through grade two students must park off-campus, walk in, and pick up their students from the zoned area by the track (behind the grand staircase).
Students will wait for their parents with adult supervision provided until a parent arrives.
Parents should wait outside the gates behind the grand staircase so the children have room to gather inside the gates and then exit the area.
For activities that start at 3:15 p.m., parents are expected to pick up their children no later than 4:25 p.m.
