From March 13 to April 5, middle school students created, explored, and documented their Tri Time projects. Tri Time is a program in middle school that allows students to explore their passion while learning about their interests. This year there were many impressive projects students could showcase, here are just a few of the projects that students got to explore.

One example of an interesting project we came across was a project made by seventh grader Reyhan who was keen to build a cat house for our campus cats.

During his project, we interviewed him and he stated, “I have a dog, and my dog is scared of everything, so I thought about building a cat house to help cats have a safe place to live in.”

Throughout the process of creating the cat house, he had his up and downs, and one of the things he had to overcome was, ‘’Every time I cut a piece of wood, I have to straighten it and it’s annoying when it is not straight.’’ However, with the help and support from other teachers, he was able to push through and had a fabulous result:

Another project we came across was by seventh grade student Jin L., his idea was to make a model airplane.

When we came across his project, he told us he was inspired by a YouTuber he liked to watch called ProjectAir. A challenge he faced in the process of creating the model airplane was making precise cuts.

Although students faced challenges in the process of creating their Tri Time projects, many of them were able to complete their projects. We can't wait to see what students do next year!
