Currently residing in Los Angeles, Mr. Kavin Kapoor is deeply immersed in film production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts where he aspires to become a professional director. Since graduating from SAS in 2020, he has entered the entertainment industry through professional experiences at PlayStation, where he served as a motion capture intern, Meta, Marvel, and various music video houses. His parents still reside in Singapore, while his younger brother (Class of 2022) currently attends Duke University.

Mr. Douglas Lee advises entrepreneurs and invests in early stage companies primarily in education technology.  Currently based in New York, he has lived and worked in both the public and private sectors in the US, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, and Singapore where he had a five year assignment as a banker.  Mr. Lee holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Economics from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.  He is an SAS alumnus from the class of 1976 and recipient of the Burdell Scholar Athlete Award.

Chi-Chi Lin is the Co-Founder/CEO of Kasba, a design-led real estate investment and development firm. She brings over a decade of experience across investment, development, and architectural design. Prior to establishing Kasba, she worked in real estate private equity, investing in and developing large-scale projects in New York, North Carolina, and Florida. Complementing her investment and development experience, she also worked at leading design firms such as BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group and Studio Gang.

Chi-Chi received her graduate degree in real estate finance from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Cornell University. Chi-Chi cares deeply about education, sustainability, and design: she volunteers locally to mentor high school students interested in careers in the architecture, construction, and engineering industries and also volunteers with her neighborhood organization on land use and planning matters. Outside of work, she is an avid adventure sport enthusiast.

Ms. Yashika Mody is a Director at KPMG Singapore within the Digital Village consulting practice where she advises corporate clients on the entire lifecycle of tech-driven innovation projects. She specializes in design thinking and product management and has led engagements with clients in a range of sectors including government, automotive, and financial services. Prior to KPMG, she was at Accenture Singapore. Yashika holds a BSc in Business Management and Finance from Bentley University in Boston, USA. 

She is Indian by origin and is now a Singaporean national. She joined SAS in the 5th grade and graduated with the Class of 2008. She is married to an SAS alumnus (Anup Suresh, '07) and together they have a 2 year old son.

Farhana Nakhooda is GM of Health Catalyst, Asia Pacific, where she drives the use of data, analytics, and AI to help healthcare organizations improve outcomes. With 25+ years of global experience across healthcare IT, digital health, and life sciences, she brings both expertise and passion for transforming healthcare. She also serves on the boards of APACMed and Temasek Polytechnic, blending industry and education to shape the future of health. A proud SAS alum (Class of 1989), she holds a BSc (Hons) in Biology from UBC and an MBA from Monash Mt Eliza Business School in Australia.

Farhana is married with two teenagers, Alisha and Adam, and loves travel, dancing, and photography.

Ms. Shannon Salter lives in Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania.  She holds a BA in Political Science and an M.Ed. in Secondary Social Studies Education. She is a founding teacher at Building 21 High School in the Allentown School District. Shannon’s civic education work has included research under a National Science Foundation grant, publication in Social Education and The Science Teacher, and speaking engagements at National Geographic and the National Council for Social Studies. Her work has been covered by news outlets including The Washington Post, Ms. Magazine, and CNN. She currently serves on the governing consortium of Educating for American Democracy, where she also is co-founder and co-chair of the Teacher Leadership Task Force.

Mr. David Snyder is the CEO of Keppel Pacific Oak US REIT which is based in Singapore and enables him to travel home to Singapore several times a year.  He currently lives in Antimony, Utah.  Prior to moving to Utah, he lived in Southern California from 1989 to 2015 and held accounting and finance roles in several organizations with most of his career spent at real estate companies.  Mr. Snyder graduated from Biola University with a degree in business with an emphasis in accounting. He graduated from SAS in 1989 (attended from 1981 to 1989) and still enjoys seeing SAS friends around the world whenever and wherever he travels. Mr. Snyder has four children living in Texas, California, and Utah.

Ms. Linda Spataru (formerly Sun) is a Vice President, Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs in New York. She covers and executes on M&A and financing deals in the consumer retail and entertainment sectors. She graduated from Singapore American School in 2015 and received a BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2019. Ms. Spataru also serves on the New York Leadership Council of Upwardly Global, the first and longest-serving national organization that helps immigrants and refugees restart their careers in the U.S. Ms. Spataru lives in New York City with her husband and enjoys playing tennis, exploring new restaurants, and reconnecting with friends.

Sera Yoshino started at SAS when she was three and attended all the way through her graduation in 2005. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Spanish from Tufts University.  She continued her education at Sciences-Po Paris, where she earned a Master’s degree in International Security.

Sera has spent the last twelve years at Chanel’s US headquarters in NYC, where she currently holds the title of Senior Group Director of Fashion Retail Operations. At Chanel, Sera is the proud co-founder of the Asian Pacific Islander Community employee resource group and is an active member of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility Steering Committee.  Sera lives in NYC with her husband, Omar, and kids, Laila and Tarek.
