Registration Process

Phases 1 and 2

Phases One and Two of Summer Semester registration are now complete.

  • If your child has been successfully allocated an activity in the Summer Semester week(s) that you have requested, you will be able to see the approved activity in your child’s CHQ profile for that week under “My Activity Sign-Ups”.

  • If you do not see any approved activity listed in your child’s profile, you may register your child during Phase Three.

    • During Phase Three, parents can make additional activity choices for their children subject to availability. Activities that are at full capacity will not show up as options in CHQ during Phase Three.

    • Please note that Phase 3 is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Phase 3

Due to changed guidelines, we regret that we can no longer include non-SAS students in our Summer Semester courses.

Logging In

The CHQ registration system uses the same username and password as your MySAS Portal and Veracross account. If you are already logged into MySAS portal, you are not required to log in again into the CHQ registration system.

You will only see available activities for your child when the registration window is open.

If you are unable to login or have forgotten your password, you may reset your password here. Click on "Can’t access account" and then reset your password. For all other login-related queries, please contact IT Help.

How to Register for Courses

  1. Registration will take place through the CHQ system, which most SAS parents have used to sign up for students' extracurricular activities throughout the year.

  2. Once in CHQ, click on your child's profile. Next click on  "My Activity Sign-Ups," and then select the Summer Semester tab.

  3. You will then see the list of courses available for that child each week. Click on the blue "i" beside an option to see the course description.

  4. Students may opt for any course for their grade level unless a prerequisite is stated.

    • You will have a maximum of two preferences per week and these can be changed as many times as you wish until the closing date of each registration phase.

    • Once the registration phase is closed, you cannot withdraw. As you are selecting choices for your child, please ensure they are courses that your child wants to join. You should only select courses you are prepared to honor and pay for if allocated.

  5. To select your choices for each week:

    • In the current Phase 3, applicants should only type '1' and click Save. 

    • Save your selections by clicking the red Save button in the upper left corner. This button will only appear after preferences have been registered correctly. Only use numbers in the bubbles. Other characters will not register in the system.

  6. To switch to another child’s profile, choose “Select Profile” in the panel to the left.

  7. For parents who would like to make more course selections after Phase Two closes, the Phase Three registration period begins on Thursday, May 20 at 8:00 p.m. Phase Three is first-come, first-served. Any selections are subject to available space in the remaining courses.

  8. Courses that do not receive enough interest may be dropped after Phase One's registration window. Families that registered for a dropped course will be contacted to select an alternative course.
