Dear Parents,

I want to take a moment to remind you that our annual Open House will be held today from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This event is a wonderful opportunity for students and parents to connect with old and new friends, meet classroom teachers, purchase uniforms, and prepare for a successful start to the year.

If you need help finding your way around or have any questions about the first few weeks of school, look for SAS team members with red ask me! badges. We are all happy to help in any way we can and want to make sure that you have the information you need to get ready for the first day of school.

We have had a great week as a faculty and staff preparing for the coming year. Our teachers are excited to be back in the classroom and to begin connecting with our students next week.

We kicked off this week on Monday morning by inviting some of our current students and recent alumni to share their thoughts with our entire team of faculty and staff. I think all of us appreciated starting the year centered on the voices and reflections of our students. Please take a moment to watch the videos of their short 2-3 minute talks. I think that you will enjoy and appreciate what they said as much as we all did.

On the more lighthearted side, our communications team cornered me and got me to serve as the lead-off batter for this year’s “60 Second Selfie” series. In the spirit of “I am sure the best is yet to come,” please feel free to click here to check out the video.

Hope to see you later today!

Best,

Tom Boasberg
Superintendent
