I hope you are all well!
One of my first objectives when I arrived at SAS was to listen deeply. SAS is a diverse and accomplished organization, and it was important for me to hear from as many community members as possible. I greatly appreciated the opportunity on my listening tour to hear from so many students, parents, and educators.
A consistent theme I heard was that so much of our strength comes from our diversity -- diversity of background, nationality, belief, and more. These differences enable each of us to bring a unique and important voice to our discussions. As a leadership team, we value these voices. By gathering diverse viewpoints, we are able to have more meaningful and informed discussions, which is especially important as we face the kind of complex new challenges we are now confronting every day.
One of the ways we collect voices from our community is through an annual school survey of all parents. I encourage you to participate in this year’s school survey. (Click here to begin the survey) The survey is completely anonymous and should take roughly 10-15 minutes. The survey will close on Monday, May 11 at 5:00 p.m. Once the survey is closed we will analyze the data and will share a report with the community in eNews on Friday, May 22.
Thank you for taking time to help us grow as an organization. Your voice plays an important part in deepening our understanding of our school and community.
I hope you all enjoy the long weekend!
