Dear Parents,

We would like to invite you to come next Wednesday, February 26 at 3:30 p.m. in H301 to an additional session of our Campus Upgrade Advisory Group, composed of students, teachers and parents. We will share with the advisory group our latest thoughts and proposals around the future of our campus. We are excited about the potential for these proposals to significantly improve our learning and play spaces; art, music, STEM, and athletic facilities; community and dining spaces; and our bus and car traffic efficiency and safety. We welcome your feedback on these proposals.

As many of you will remember, we met seven times in the fall in public sessions with the advisory group to seek community input and ideas on the future of our campus. In those sessions, participants raised many thoughtful questions and made valuable suggestions. We have worked hard over the last three months to revisit and alter our original plans to respond to that feedback. We have met this week with students and teachers, who were very enthusiastic about the changes, and we look forward to sharing the changes and revised proposals with you next week.

Please click here to RSVP for the session.

If you are unable to attend we will share the video, slide deck, and updated website with you next Friday, February 28, in eNews.

After engaging in this discussion and listening to your feedback, we intend to present our proposals to the SAS School Board in the second week of March. We will communicate fully with you regarding any decisions or next steps coming out of the Board discussions.

Finally, I want to thank you for your continued support as we put in place the enhanced measures outlined by the Ministry of Health.  Please take the time to read today our separate letter on the most recent requirements put in place by the Singapore Government regarding declaration of both past and future travel to China.

Thank you.

Best,

Tom Boasberg
Superintendent
