Think for a moment about your favorite holiday of the year. Whether it is Christmas, Deepavali, Hanukkah, Chinese New Year, Cinco De Mayo, or Fourth of July, or something else entirely, there is one common thread that makes each of these events special to those who celebrate.
Holidays are a time to gather with friends and family. They are a time for us to set aside business and busyness to connect intentionally with our loved ones.
My family and I are grateful to so many of you who have made SAS such a warm and inviting place this semester. In many ways, a community like this becomes its own family. Thankfully, like so many families, this community is a warm, supporting one (as well as having our own unique family eccentricities!), and we are grateful to be a part of it.
As we head into the winter break I hope you find time to connect within your own family and with other members of our community.
Have a wonderful winter break—see you back here in January!
