In front of an assembly over a 1,000 high school students, our Peer Support student leaders helped us celebrate Thanksgiving by giving thanks. They chose to thank our safety and security team, who are there before any of us get to school and still there after we all leave, working to keep us safe.
The public thanks from students meant a lot to a team who has served SAS for many years. With a broad grin, team leader Isaac Benjamin celebrated the morning as one of the proudest of his professional life.
As we head into the Thanksgiving break, I hope each of you have time to spend time with family and reflect on our accomplishments this fall. And I hope you make time to thank those who have contributed to those accomplishments.
I want to express my gratitude to each of you for the way you have welcomed my family into this community. We are touched by the kindness we have received and grateful to be at SAS. And, most of all, I am grateful for the work all of you do to build our community.
Have a restful Thanksgiving break!
