Are There Other Ways to Contribute to the Board?

If you do not wish to commit to board service or you prefer not to engage in the election or appointment processes, you may wish to consider board committee service.

What

Much of the work of the SAS board is undertaken by board committees. These committees include board members and other community members with relevant expertise and knowledge.

Who

Lorem Ipsum

In any given year, depending on positions available, one to three SAS members (parents/guardians) are selected and appointed to serve on each board committee; these may include both new and returning committee members.

Why

Lorem Ipsum

These volunteers give the board of directors the balance of experience and skills it needs to effectively carry out its principal duties of strategic planning, financial and governance oversight, budgeting, preservation of capital assets and endowments, and fundraising.

How

Lorem Ipsum

Committee members carry out the work through monthly or bimonthly committee meetings. There are usually between five and eight meetings per committee per year.

Selection

Information about the process will be shared via eNews starting in late March, and the selection process will take place from April to early June.
