2008 – 2009 School Fees for Second Semester

The 2008-2009 second semester invoices were sent to all SAS families and employers in October. The due date for payment is December 1. All outstanding school fees must be paid by the deadline in order for students to attend school for the second semester. In addition, High School students with outstanding accounts will be ineligible to participate in Interim Semester. Please contact the business office immediately if you have any questions or concerns.

Withdrawing from SAS

If your family is planning to withdraw from SAS, please note that you must officially withdraw in writing to the SAS Admission’s office at withdraw@sas.edu.sg. Please ensure that SAS receives your withdrawal notice as soon as possible in order that your child’s official school records can be prepared and available in the division offices before you depart from Singapore.

2009-2010 Re-enrollment

In early 2009 SAS will conduct its annual re-enrollment process for 2009-2010. Parents should be aware that the notification date for re-enrollment (and payment of the non-refundable re-enrollment deposit) has been set as March 1, 2009.

Medical Guest Speaker Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Leslie Kuek
November 12, 3:10pm to 4:15pm

The Medical Explorers Club at SAS invites doctors and surgeons to give talks to students and parents about various medical fields. On November 12, a well known cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leslie Kuek will be coming to the school to give a talk to interested parents and students. He is featured in magazines like Her World and Prestige as one of the top cosmetic surgeons in Singapore. The lecture will be at the Library Media Theater in the HS library, from 3:10pm to 4:15pm; admission is free. To sign up, please email roseannetangrs@gmail.com . AWA Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner
Sunday, November 23

The American Women’s Association of Singapore (AWA) is celebrating the Annual AWA Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner on Sunday, November 23 from 3:30pm – 6:00pm at Hort Park located on Hyderabad Road (off of Alexandra Road). Baked turkey, fresh gravy, mashed potatoes and stuffing will be provided as well as ice cream donated by Movenpick. Brewerktz will be serving complimentary beer, ale as well as ice water and soft drinks. Guests are asked to bring a salad, side dish or dessert to share.

Music will be performed by the Musicians for Developing Music Abroad (MDMA). MDMA is a student run organization from the Singapore American School committed to creating music programs in schools of developing nations like Africa and Indonesia.
