Wednesday, October 25, is an early release day for the high school. Grade 9 students will be taking the PSAT 9, Grade 10 students will take the Pre-ACT and Grade 11 students will take the PSAT/NMSQT from 8:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
Additional information can be found regarding PSAT 9 and PSAT at www.collegeboard.org and Pre-ACT at www.act.org. Buses will depart at 12:15 p.m. and the high school faculty will remain at school to work on their Interim Semester courses.
Test takers should bring calculators and student ID's. Grade 10 students will finish Pre ACT a bit earlier than Grades 9 and 11 and will be utilizing this time as a quiet study hall.
Grade 12 students are not required to attend school on October 25. However, they are strongly encouraged to utilize the time to work on their college applications. It is our experience that many seniors feel especially pressured in October and we hope that the day off from school will be a great opportunity for seniors to make additional progress on their essays and applications.
We encourage seniors to take full advantage of this "College Application Work Day".
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your child's Personal Academic or College Counselor.
